In this photograph he is immortalizing his partner, Apollo 15 Commander Dave Scott, proudly riding in their new car, the Lunar Rover.” Alan captures a memorable moment during the 1971 lunar mission, with the Falcon lunar module and a brilliantly blue Earth for a backdrop. The fourth man to walk upon the lunar surface, Bean can count himself among the fortunate few who have been “moon rovers.”
