The unprecedented artistic master of Catwoman, Jim Balent is responsible for over 77 Catwoman covers for DC Comics.

Cat imagery appears in most Balent Catwoman pieces. In this piece they crawl out from under her wedding dress, while in others, they are hidden among buildings and sometimes in Catwoman’s hair.

In addition to his Catwoman work, Balent is known for the creation of a collection of mini series based on Batman, Lobo and Dark Claw.

After Balent’s tenure as the leading Catwoman artist ended in 1999, he started his own comic book company, BroadSword Comics. At BroadSword, his Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose,” and “3 Little Kittens: Purrfect Weapons,” garnered much attention and critical acclaim.

Each “White Wedding” piece has been hand-signed by Jim Balent and reproduced with the fine-art giclee process on acid-free paper.
