For nearly six decades this lighthouse stood watch over one of the most dangerous bodies of water in the world. Where northeast winds of up to 60 miles per hour threaten many vessels traveling these waters, this beacon of hope provides safe passage from atop a 100-foot cliff. "The challenge of this piece was to take a dark, ominous scene and depict its beauty by the use of color and light," the artist says.
