Hanna-Barbera Limited Editions - Five Paw Draw
|
|
Designed and illustrated by Bob Singer, “Five Paw Draw” features some of Hanna-Barbera’s favorite canine characters, including Scooby-Doo, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, Astro, Huckleberry Hound, Hong Kong Phooey, Reddy (from Ruff n’ Reddy) and Mutley.
Though some canines, such as Mutley, had a relatively short run (1969-1971), Hanna-Barbera dogs such as Scooby-Doo has enjoyed an uninterrupted run since his inception in 1969.
As well, these dogs have distinct personalities. Mutley is sneaky, while Huckleberry Hound is mild-mannered. Scooby-Doo is the loquacious and reluctant hero of his own series, while Doggie Daddy is continually perplexed by his son Augie’s behavior. Astro is as human as his owner, George Jetson, and Hong Kong Phooey, the king of kung fu, is an inept superhero, Reddy is a sidekick to Ruff, a decidedly more intelligent feline to the thick-headed canine that is Reddy.
Each deluxe print is signed by Bob Singer and includes a remarque drawing of Scooby-Doo.
