The Story
It's one for all and all for one as Mickey, Donald and Goofy join forces as The Three Musketeers. Triumphantly brandishing their swords, this heroic trio real Musketeers justice, noble goals achieved through friendship and teamwork.

The Artwork
This limited-edition sericel recreates Sequence 3.320, Scene 97 of Disney's The Three Musketeers (2004). The creators of this all-new musical direct-to-video feature wanted to re-imagine Alexander Dumas' literary classic for those all-time favorites, Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Though Mickey Mouse has appeared in segments of feature-length films, this animated icon has never before starred in his own movie, so the Three Musketeers filmmakers were determined to make this feature-length Mickey movie something special. They were particularly inspired by the classic "team" cartoons starring Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Animated classics such as Lonesome Ghosts (1937), Tugboat Mickey (1940) and the Mickey and the Beanstalk featurette in Fun and Fancy Free (1947) are comedy-adventures perfectly suited to the personalities of Mickey and his friends Three Musketeers animation team set out to create their new production in the same stylish mold. The Three Musketeers artists haunted Disney Feature Animation, studying vaults-full of vintage pre-production art, model sheets, background paintings and animation drawings. Consequently, the animated stars of The Three Musketeers are portrayed in their quintessential late 1930s-early 1940s style. Likewise, the animation backgrounds are painted with watercolors in homage to "Golden Age" Disney films. Packed with six new songs, swashbuckling action, and sword-sharp wit, Disney's The Thee Musketeers is a sheer delight for everyone who dreams of greatness everyone who loves Mickey, Donald and Goofy.

These character images were created using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Artists at the Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department specially created a hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel which was used as reference in the production of these sericels. Twenty-five colors were used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactingly screen-printed, one color at a time. Plussing includes the signatures of Wayne Allwine, Tony Anselmo and Bill Farmer, the actors who give voice to Mickey, Donald and Goofy.

The result is a delightful sericel portrait of three of Walt Disney's most beloved characters who prove that "It's all for fun and fun for all."
